To help facilitate learning, communication and cultural understanding between both Creole and non-Creole speakers.

To help break communication barriers and bridge the language gap between people.
Our History
The desire to teach my children Haitian Creole led to the development of Speaking Creole. I wanted them not only to understand Haitian Creole, but also to develop a deep respect for the language and to recognize that it has a meaningful place in their lives, in society, and in academia.
Haitian Creole is more than a means of communication; it is a beautiful, evolving language rooted in a rich and complex history—a history shaped by blood, sweat, tears, resilience, and the enduring strength of the Haitian people.
